Hi, I'm Zane Frey, a Salt Lake City-based Professional Landscape Photographer and a full-time Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Utah. My photographic journey began at the age of 12 when I picked up my first digital camera. Growing up near Lake Tahoe, I immersed myself in the mountains—hiking, camping, and capturing moments that now adorn several of my prints.
As a high school student, the pandemic hit, granting me solitude for solo adventures. Exploring new places near Lake Tahoe and the Sierra Nevada mountains, I refined my skills, and pushed the limits of what I thought was possible. At the end of my high school career, I ultimately decided to attend the University of Utah for its engineering program and stunning landscapes, and I’ve been ecstatic to call this place home ever since.
Now, nearing the end of my undergraduate studies and about to embark on a graduate program, each print reflects my growth. Landscape photography is my passion—a dynamic blend of meticulous planning and chasing spontaneous moments. By purchasing a print, you not only support my academic journey but also help me share the beauty I've discovered.
While selling prints isn't my full-time pursuit, it is a tangible manifestation of my dedication to photography as I have learned, explored, and grown. Thank you for taking the time to explore these scenes with me, and for supporting the continuation of my artistic journey.
